Paper Moon Jewelry

Hello, and thanks for visiting! Paper Moon features unique handmade jewelry made from paper. The finished product has several coats of thick glaze, is super shiny and actually resembles glass or ceramic.

Making the jewelry is a multi-step process. First, I choose the paper that I'd like to work with. I have a large supply of paper created all over the world. Many of them are handmade, stencil-dyed or silk screened. I cut the basic shape and apply several layers of a very thick shiny glaze. Each layer of glaze needs time to dry in between coats. I drill holes in the new "beads" and then, create each piece. I use all sterling silver or gold-filled findings as well as glass accent beads for extra sparkle!

I have been selling jewelry to friends and collegues and I've also had success at craft fairs. My vision for this site, is to be able to share some pictures, and allow people to place orders and make purchases. You will be able to either select from pictures of ready made pieces, or customize jewelry based on your personal style and preferences.
